Dayton Avenue School March Madness Reading Competition

Move over NCAA Dayton Avenue School has their own March Madness Reading Championship.  Students are competing in a number of ways with one another.  Students tally their reading minutes each night on a log which is collected every morning in March.  The winning class each week participates in a basketball shoot-out in the gymnasium to earn extra points.  Students, caught reading by members of the March Madness Committee receive a "Get Caught Reading" ticket that allows them to earn additional points as well.  Lastly, we have weekly themed challenges that allow students to earn points for their class that include: College Shirt Day, Disney Day, Inside Out or Backwards Day, Crazy Sock Day, Western Day, Formal Day, and Sport Jersey Day!  Dayton Avenue School is alive with a passion for reading.  Keep up the good work.
