Library Media Specialists Present at Local Conference

On Friday, March 14^th Library Media Specialists from Dayton Avenue School, Erin Marone and Lisa Martinez, from Eastport Elementary School presented at the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Library Liaison Meeting.  Mrs. Marone and Mrs. Martinez presented their work on implementing A Four Square Rotation to teach content in lieu of or in addition to using a traditional textbook.  The students visit four different centers utilizing resources from the media center and then complete a product of their choice.  This project is a great example of the Library Media Specialist integrating research with the classroom teacher.  Mrs. Marone and Mrs. Martinez presented to a packed house.  Great job!
