As part of our Balanced Literacy structure since October faculty has worked with our Literacy Coach JeanMarie Zambelli and staff developer Christine Ikin from Teacher's College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University to deepen our understanding of the Units of Study in writing. This week we kicked off the opinion unit which is our first unit of study. We are eager to work to support our students as they grow as writers.
