Dayton Avenue School Celebrates Earth Day!
Students in 3rd grade completed a Service Learning project to beautify the school courtyard. Spearheaded by Mrs. Defeo and led in song by Mr. Defeo we celebrated the hard work of our 3rd grade students.
Striking Out ALS with Chris Pendergast!
Dayton Avenue School is proud to be part of the 2016 Ride for Life with Chris Pendergast. Mr. Pendergast was kind enough to share his message of strength and hope with our students. We consider it a privilege to be involved with this year's Ride for Life. Chris is a true hero in his fight to find a cure for ALS.

7 Habits of Happy Kids!
Dayton Avenue School continues to integrate the 7 Habits of Happy Kids into our PBIS structure. The hallways provide students with a visual reminder of the principles we encourage our children to demonstrate.
Mrs. Rubin's Class Tackles Equivalent Fractions
Students in Mrs. Rubin's class sharpen their math skills utilizing fraction tiles to work collaboratively and deepen their understanding of equivalent fractions.
4th Grade Writing Curriculum with Sarah Cordova!
Faculty in 4th grade from both Eastport and Dayton Avenue School came together to continue their writing curriculum work. We continued our work with writing consultant Sarah Cordova. In the last year we have transformed our learning and teaching of writing.

4th Grade Student Donates to Locks of Love
Ella Rodriguez is sporting a new haircut for a good cause. Ella donated her hair to Locks of Love to support those who are fighting cancer. We are so proud of Ella.
