Dayton Avenue Kicks Off the Souper Bowl!

The Shared Decision Making team which includes students, parents, teachers, and administration organized the 2015 Dayton Avenue School Souper Bowl.  Each grade level is participating in friendly competition to determine the winner of this year's Souper Bowl.  Cans collected will be distributed to local food pantries.  The game began yesterday and the response has been overwhelming.  A special thanks to Mrs. Orlando for her coordination of the event.

PBIS Principal's Helper

Dr. John Scharf helped Dr. Christie perform the duties and responsibilities of school principal.  As part of our PBIS system John earned enough shark bites to help Dr. Christie.  Dr. Scharf demonstrated Safe, Honest, Accountable, Respectful, Kind, and Successful behavior.  Keep up the good work!

No Clowning Around During PARP Celebration at Dayton Avenue School!

We are grateful for the support of the South Manor PTA who sponsors the circus each year as part of our Parents As Reading Partners month.  Students in all grades learn the importance of collaboration and teamwork throughout the week.  Students in 6th grade have multiple physical education classes and participate in their own circus for students and parents on the last day of the week.  Once again, we are so appreciative of everything the SMPTA does to support our students.
