Proton the Elf Visits Dr. Christie

Proton the Elf visited Dr. Christie from Mrs. Lukas and Mrs. Laza's class.  Proton the Elf represents the positive energy the all of us demonstrate at Dayton Avenue School.  Proton will be traveling throughout the school in the month of December promoting, Safe, Honest, Accountable, Respectful, Kind, and Successful behavior.  Today Proton demonstrated a "Random Act of Kindness" by delivering Tide To Go sticks to Dr. Christie.  It is a not so well kept secret that he spills coffee on his suits.

Dr. Christie Has Opportunity to Teach 3rd Grade Class!

Thanks to Mrs. Van Tronk and Ms. Lucia, Dr. Christie was given the opportunity to integrate literacy, history, geography and team building into a third grade class.  Students learned about the long standing tradition of the Mohawk Indians and their expertise in iron working for over a century.  Students explored their own family traditions and had the opportunity to work collaboratively to build skyscrapers.  Learning and fun was had by all.  Especially, Dr. Christie!
